SOUNEY MEDIA is a full-service design and photography studio, transitioning from the East Coast to Portland, Oregon. Of course, with modern technology location is often of little relevance. As a result, our clients are on both coasts, and the spaces in between. Photography, design, and advertising projects (both print and web) can be completed start to finish in house. We offer services from simple graphic design and photography to full-scale advertising campaigns and art direction.

Jared Souney's (principal) work has been featured in and on the covers of publications around the world including Ride BMX, Dig, Fuel, Sports Illustrated for Kids, Sports Illustrated for Women, Co-Ed, BMX Plus, Ride UK, and more. Commercial clients include Target, Mountain Dew, Etnies, DC Shoes, Woodward Camp, The Tony Hawk Foundation, Specialized Bicycles, Hoffman Bikes, Oakley, Vans, Boost Mobile, Woodward Camp, and many others.

Jared began his career at the Art Institute of Boston, and followed that up with a job Art Directing a now defunct Boston art/ culture/ nightlife magazine. After that, he moved to Southern California, working as an Editor and Photographer for one of Time Warner's premier action sports publications. In 2001, Jared left the magazine to start Souney Media continuing to work on the west coast for two more years. In 2003 he moved his studio (back to the east coast) to Central Pennsylvania, which suprisingly has become a home to many of action-sports' top athletes.

Souney Media uses a full range of both digital and film equipment for photography projects, allowing for traditional methods and/or a full digital workflow based on then needs of the project. We have a studio in-house, as well as the ability to produce location shoots at the drop of a hat. Our design studio uses the latest Mac based equipment as well as a good old fashioned drafting table.
